Broadband Technician- Humphrey
As a Broadband Technician, you will be essential in delivering high-quality telecommunication services to our clients. Reporting to the Outside Plant Manager, your role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting broadband networks. Utilizing your core skills in computer networking, cabling, and field service, you will ensure optimal performance of telecommunication systems. Your premium expertise in fiber splicing and network installation will enhance service delivery, while relevant skills in electrical systems and mechanical knowledge will support your troubleshooting efforts. Responsibilities
· On-site installations of wireless or fiber optic broadband Internet service
· Correction and repair of customer broadband Internet service
· Underground cable locating
· Configure customer equipment, including routers and wireless access-points
· Installation of cabling in homes and businesses
· Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and ensure all routine maintenance is completed as needed
· Maintain an inventory of equipment and tools
· Serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems.
· Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services.
· Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment and following up to ensure resolution.
· Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in computer networking and field service operations

Experience as a service technician in telecommunications

Skilled in using hand tools for cabling and installation

Knowledge of Ethernet and telephony systems

Familiarity with fiber splicing and network installation

Mechanical and electrical experience, including the use of an ohmmeter

Pay: $18.50 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
